Why Thailand

Thailand's reputation is beaches and nightlife, which sells short a country with world-class food, serious temple architecture and a north that feels like a different nation. The trick is choosing your islands honestly: Andaman or Gulf coast, depending entirely on which month you're travelling, and giving Chiang Mai the days it deserves.

Picking the wrong coast for the wrong month is how people end up with a week of rain and a bad opinion of Thailand.

What you'll actually do

The Thailand we'd plan for you

Not a list of sights, the specific things that make the difference between having been somewhere and having experienced it.

01

Chiang Mai and the north

Old city temples, a cooking class that teaches you something, and an ethical elephant sanctuary, the distinction matters.

02

The right coast for your dates

Krabi and Phi Phi from November to April. Koh Samui and Koh Tao when the Andaman side is wet. Never both.

03

Bangkok, on purpose

Wat Pho and the Grand Palace early, Chinatown for dinner, and a river boat instead of a taxi in traffic.

04

A quiet island

Koh Yao Noi, Koh Lanta, Koh Kood. Twenty minutes from the famous ones and a completely different holiday.

A route that works

What a trip here can look like

A starting point, not a package. Every route we build gets reshaped around your dates, your pace and who's travelling.

  1. Days 1 – 3

    Bangkok

Temples in the morning, markets in the evening, and a rooftop on the last night to see the scale of it.

  2. Days 4 – 6

    Chiang Mai

Doi Suthep, a Thai cooking class, and a day with the elephants at a sanctuary we have actually visited.

  3. Days 7 – 12

    Krabi & the islands

Railay, a long-tail day through Phi Phi and Bamboo Island, then three slow nights somewhere quieter.
